At BANGE we believe carrying gear shouldn't cost the planet. Our backpacks are engineered to last — reducing the cycle of replacement and waste — and we're working to lower our environmental footprint year over year.

Durable design as a sustainability strategy

The most sustainable backpack is the one you don't have to replace. Every BANGE bag is built with reinforced stitching, YKK-grade zippers, and abrasion-resistant fabrics so a single bag lasts 5–10 years of daily use rather than the 1–2 years typical of fast-fashion brands. Our 1-year manufacturer warranty backs this commitment.

Material choices

Recycled polyester (rPET) in select models, made from post-consumer plastic bottles
Oxford polyester sourced from suppliers audited for environmental compliance
PFC-free water repellents phased into new models to eliminate persistent fluorochemicals
YKK zippers chosen for longevity — reducing replacement waste
Bluesign-approved fabrics being introduced across our 2026 line

Packaging

We ship in recycled cardboard boxes with paper-based void fill instead of plastic. Inner protective wrap is being transitioned from polybag to compostable cellulose by end of 2026. Reusable BANGE dust bags are included with premium models to extend product life.

All BANGE manufacturing partners undergo BSCI social audits
Factories provide fair wages, safe working conditions, and no child labour
Energy efficiency improvements implemented across partner factories since 2024
Aiming for 50% renewable-energy fabric mills by 2027

Repair before replace

If a BANGE bag breaks, we'd rather repair than replace. Email info@bangeofficialstore.com with photos — we'll either repair under warranty or guide you to a qualified repair partner. Out-of-warranty repairs are also available at low cost.

Take-back & second-hand program

We accept used BANGE bags through our Second Hand collection. Bags in good condition are cleaned and resold at reduced prices; bags beyond repair are responsibly disassembled and the materials recycled where possible.

Roadmap

2026: Transition to 100% PFC-free water repellents on all new models
2027: Achieve 50% rPET content across the lineup; renewable-energy fabric mills
2030: Carbon-neutral shipping on all direct-to-consumer orders
